All our wood is delivered to us in a “rough cut” form; this means that we process each piece in our Thetford, Vermont workshop. From selecting the raw board to delivering the final piece of furniture into your home, we take great pride in knowing that every step of the process was done thoughtfully by the hands of our skilled craftspeople.

Rough Sawn
The first cut done at the saw mill turning log into lumber, using a large coarse saw blade producing a rough textured plank, ready to stack for transport.

After we receive these rough cut planks and are ready to process; the ends of each board are cut square using a large table saw called a Gang Saw.

When the panels are cured and ready to process, we then run them though a large machine called the Time Saver, to smooth and even out the panel’s thickness.

Signature Matte Finish
A minimum of two coats of a matte polyurethane are applied with a spray gun. We apply the first coat, then send each piece through a large low temperature oven to set the polyurethane.

FINISHING TOUCHES
Our signature Pompy finish is so durable that you don’t need to use coasters for protection against rings and spills.
Go ahead and leave that glass in place to sweat overnight. In the morning, simply use a soft cloth to soak up any moisture and wipe away.
