About the Job

Logistics and Customer Service
  • Maintain the day to day functions of the department including scheduling, truck loading and Customer Service resolutions.
  • Ensure department adheres to all DOT regulations.
  • Ensure we exceed customer expectations and lead in developing our high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Champion logistical efforts to drive down cost and increase performance and efficiencies.
  • Build the departmental infrastructure to enable the deprtment to scale while providing an exceptional experience for customers.
  • Develop, and maintain, relationships with logistical vendors and partners.
  • Perform regular reviews of the viability of contracts and pricing and continue to seek more viable options where possible.
Personnel Management
  • Maintain a day to day communication with Delivery team members.
  • Perform quarterly reviews, with a view to improving performance. Set and agree personal goals for team members, support and guide them in the strive to achieve these goals.
  • Hold team members accountable for mistakes and errors and correct behaviour unbecoming of a Delivery team member.
  • Review team member delivery performance with on-site spot checks and driving assessments.
  • Review and direct the support of the delivery teams, coordinating with the appropriate resource management to implement new systems, and maintain current ones.
  • Recruit for new team members, when necessary.
Personnel Training
  • Ensure every team member knows our mission statement. Ensure they understand how their position fits in and affects our ability to meet it, and ensure their work is driving towards and not against the mission statement’s objectives.
  • Foster an organization-wide culture of continuous self and process improvement.
  • Perform department meetings at least every Quarter.
  • Ensure team members are trained on and are adhering to new policies.
  • Ensure all new hires are trained and competent using all current training tools.
  • A constant review of training tools to remove the obsolete and find new and more relevant packages.
Personal Development
  • Learn new processes and computer packages with a view to aiding metric creation, monitoring and reporting.
  • Develop greater leadership and management skills utilizing tools provided by the company, and webinars and outside seminars, when available.
  • Administer constant and consistent self-evaluation and strive for personal improvement.
Day Range
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed
Experience level: 5 years in similar position
